Hey Paul,

Anna (Rawson) was the difference for the team winning the 2003 NCAA Championship for the U of Southern California! She finished 11th-how good is that! Her best finish the whole year! You helped her so much-she was hitting the ball better than she ever has. She is so grateful to you Paul!

I am sooo thankful to you too! This (winning the NCAA Championship-Individual Title) could never have happened without you and your way of motivating me and putting my game and mental game in the right direction!

The only thing I could think about coming down the last few holes was your voice in my head-"take one shot at a time and add them up at the end" (of the round) as well as your unbelievable positivism!

The pins were tucked the whole day and I heard you saying "hit it 10 feet on the missible side of the pin". I do not think you know what an impact you have had on my game-it would not be the same without you!

Paul you are the most genuine, giving person I know.

2003 Women's NCAA Champion, 2003 Player of the Year (NCAA Women's Golf)
Paul....You would have been proud. Your best student done you proud today. Drive after drive and irons from all over the course in the middle of EVERY green, lot better than EVER and Judy also played for the third time. Hit 3 wood on every tee, hit 7 wood from many fairways, chipped and putted like a normal golfer. Singing the Purtzer praise on every hole.

Look out Champions Tour!

Gerson Mossbacher

PS Mosie is back. Thanks to you.
Paul

I shot a 78 today from the blue tees @ the TPC. Ties my best round ever. Handicap has fallen from 17 to 12 since the lesson in March.

Dear Paul:

I just go back from Hawaii, and I must say that I made a big mistake by not getting more lessons-I waited too long! The half day you spent with me took at least 5 strokes off my game, and I could see a significant difference.

I was breaking 100 on every round, which is a BIG improvement for me!

I am a sixty seven year old golfer and have enjoyed reading your magazine since...can't remember when! I am self taught for fifty seven of those years. Read just about every golf magazine article and every instruction book to come out in the last half century. Still, I had a tendency to block everything right or to pull the ball left under pressure.

A happy accident led me to Paul Purtzer of The Purtzer Golf Academy in Phoenix, where I got my first and only series of lessons (in fifty years of golfing!). Six weeks later I was consistently hitting them right down the tube. This old codger finally learned that you can read all you want, but to really get your swing on track you need the hands-on guidance of a professional. Rely on yourself alone, and you're apt to continue bad habits to eternity. Paul saw my faults from the first few swings. No gobbledygook or doubletalk here! He got my swing back on plane, and, guess what, it was one of the most fun times I have ever experienced on the golf course.

I am grateful to Golf Magazine for all those instruction articles, but I would like to send a special "Thank you" to the PGA of America for preparing guys like Paul to help us "self made" hackers.
